Barefoot Jump
Two Time World Barefoot Champion Mike Seipel and Captain Gordy Anderson teamed up for three TV video productions: MTV Sports, 1993; EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association), 1996; and Ripleys Believe It or Not, 2002. These two photos were taken in December 1993 during the filming for the MTV Sports production. To purchase one or both of these historical barefooting and aviation photos, contact Gordy. The 8x10" photos are $25 each and come professionally matted. Autographed version signed by Mike and Gordy - $50.

Barefoot One-Foot
December, 1993 MTV Sports: While Gordy was flying the seaplane, Mike did tumble turns, one foot, mouth and neck holds. The ultimate was an 80 mph high speed run and 100' jumps! Click on an image to enlarge.

May, 1996 EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association): The Magnificant Seven: There were seven different barefooters/water skiers for this production. At 81 years old, "Banana" George Blair became the "Oldest" person in the world to barefoot behind a seaplane. Along with individual barefoot runs, Mike Seipel, Terry "Gator" Schuler, Glen Truttman, and John Rasmussen teamed up for several runs that combined multiple barefoot/skier boat to seaplane transfers. A father/son combination worked out great when Gordy's son Adam skied behind the seaplane. Later, Adam and his good friend, Jamie O'Connor, skied together behind the Piper Super Cub seaplane.

May, 2002 Ripley's Believe It Or Not. This stunt was named a "Ripley's Challenge" because of the extreme level of difficulty for both Gordy flying the seaplane and Mike "hand skiing" at 45mph!

Most of these stunts are "World's Firsts" and have not been performed again!
